Cloud Skin

Founder and former owner of Make Up First ® School of Makeup Artistry, Jill Glaser continues to enjoy working as a makeup artist educator on a variety of platforms. Her most current presentation was at The Makeup Show Chicago; the topic Jill selected was “Trends-Should They Stay or Should They Go?” For the makeup demonstration, Jill selected the on-trend natural, but radiant complexion, using a minimal amount of makeup. Called either “cloud skin”, “dolphin skin”, or “glass skin”, the objective of the trend is a no-makeup complexion that incorporates the matte texture of the 1990’s, sometimes together with a strategically placed light reflective material.

With the knowledge of color theory, and once sanitized with the ATTN! Makeup Sanitizer Mist, Jill demonstrated the on-trend complexion using only the ATTN! Slim Primary Palette. In addition to the foundation, highlight and contour, and using only that palette, Jill was able to complete the look, with a lavender eye shadow and a natural pink flush for the lips and cheeks (all also on trend). Finally, to elevate the look, a light, shimmer powder was brushed on the cheekbones. There was no need for a setting powder or spray; the ATTN! Beauty Slim Primary Palette is wax based; the product melts into the skin and is water resistant, if not actually waterproof. The lack of setting powder only enhanced the on-trend “cloud skin” complexion.

About Jill Glaser

In 2006, using her skills as a corporate attorney as well as a successful freelance makeup artist, Jill Glaser founded the premier Chicago school, Make Up First® School of Makeup Artistry. Since its inception, Jill has trained literally hundreds of aspiring makeup artists. Students have been trained, not only in makeup, but also in product ingredient information, as well as the ever-so importance of maintaining sanitation.

About the ATTN! Product Line

In 2022, Jill sold the school but did not retire from the industry. Jill now manufactures a small, affordable, and clean product line that helps the makeup artists keep their makeup kits sanitary, and compact. All items in the line are multi-use, thereby negating the need to replenish their kits with redundant products.
